{"id":3443,"date":"2019-10-31T08:27:30","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T08:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pachoflores.com\/en\/?p=3443"},"modified":"2022-08-12T08:31:47","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T08:31:47","slug":"cantos-y-revueltas-pacho-flores-new-disc-for-deutsche-grammophon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pachoflores.com\/en\/cantos-y-revueltas-pacho-flores-new-disc-for-deutsche-grammophon\/","title":{"rendered":"Cantos y Revueltas, Pacho Flores\u2019 new disc for Deutsche Grammophon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On November 20 at the Auditorio de Galicia, <strong>Pacho Flores<\/strong> and <strong>Manuel Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva<\/strong> will present, together with the Royal Galician Philharmonia, <strong><em>Cantos y Revueltas<\/em><\/strong>, Pacho Flores\u2019 new album for <strong>Deutsche Grammophon<\/strong> with the Galician orchestra conducted by Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva that includes, among other works and as a centerpiece, the homonymous concert for trumpet and Venezuelan <em>cuatro <\/em>by Pacho Flores himself.<\/p>\n<h5>Cantos y Revueltas<\/h5>\n<p><em>Cantos y Revueltas<\/em> is a <em>fantasia concertante<\/em> for trumpet, Venezuelan <em>cuatro <\/em>and strings, premiered last January 2018 in Santiago, Vigo and A Coru\u00f1a by the <a href=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/en\/pacho-flores-premiere-in-santiago-with-hernandez-silva\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Galician Philharmonia<\/a> under Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva, together with <em>cuatro<\/em> player <strong>Leo Rond\u00f3n<\/strong> and, of course, Pacho Flores\u2019 trumpets. It is a work rooted in old work songs and popular Venezuelan tunes, but also in modern Caribbean-like rhythms.
